Cookie Policy
This Policy explains how Donnu Convert uses cookies and similar technologies. It is part of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored in your browser when you visit a site. They are used to remember preferences, keep sessions, and enable features. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage), serve comparable functions.
2. Cookies we use
2.1. Marketing site
- Essential: the marketing site does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. If it uses any storage feature, it will be only what is needed for the basic operation of the pages.
2.2. Platform dashboard
- Session (
dp_session): an essential cookie that keeps you securely signed in. It cannot be read by page scripts (httpOnly), is sent only over a secure connection, is set withSameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out. Without it the dashboard does not work. - Language (
dp_locale): stores the language chosen in the dashboard for up to 12 months. - Temporary notices: the browser's session storage keeps confirmation messages shown on screen and is cleared when the tab is closed.
- Payment: the payment and subscription management pages belong to Stripe, on a Stripe domain, which uses its own cookies under its own policy.
2.3. Tag on customers' sites
The Tag does not set cookies. When a customer installs the Tag on its sites, we store, in the browser's storage on the customer's own site domain (first-party):
ab_vid(localStorage): a random Visitor identifier, used to keep the same variant, apply frequency rules, and count unique visitors. It contains no direct personal data.ab_popup_assigns(localStorage): the variant drawn for each Pop-up in an A/B test, so the Visitor always sees the same one.ablab_popup_<id>(localStorage): frequency control for each Pop-up (whether and when it was shown, how many times, and whether there was a conversion).ablab_domain_visits(localStorage): number of visits to the site and dates of the first and last visit, to target new and returning visitors.ablab_geo(localStorage): cached approximate location (country, state, and city), refreshed at most once a day and stored only when a Pop-up on the site uses location targeting.dp_hello(localStorage): date of the last daily signal sent to confirm that the Tag is installed.ablab_utms(sessionStorage): campaign parameters (UTM) of the visit, to keep them in Pop-up links. It is cleared when the tab is closed.ablab_debug(sessionStorage): exists only when diagnostic mode is opened with?ablab_debug=1in the page address.
The localStorage items remain until the Visitor clears the browser's data. These mechanisms do not perform fingerprinting and do not track the Visitor across different sites.
Consent mode: if the customer's page has a script element with the data-ablab-consent attribute, the Tag does not run or store anything in the browser until the site calls window.ABLab.consent(), usually after the Visitor consents in the site's own consent tool.
3. What we do not use
We do not use advertising, social media, or third-party tracking cookies for cross-site behavioral marketing.
4. How to manage or refuse
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies and site data, including local storage. Refusing essential cookies prevents the dashboard from working. On customers' sites, clearing local storage creates a new identifier: the Visitor may start seeing a different variant and frequency rules start over. If storage is blocked, the Tag works only for that page, without storing anything. Check your browser's help for how to do this.
5. Customer responsibility
The customer that installs the Tag is the controller of its Visitors' data. It is the customer's responsibility to disclose, in its own cookie and privacy policies, the use of browser storage described in item 2.3 and the collection of Leads through Pop-up forms, and to obtain consent where applicable, in accordance with the Terms of Use and applicable law. When the site uses a consent tool, the customer can enable the consent mode described in item 2.3.
6. Changes and contact
This Policy may be updated at any time, with the effective date shown above. Questions about cookies can be sent to contato@donnu.com.br.
